Dr Kocan's Availability

Consultations for chronic painful conditions, cosmetics, or hyperhidrosis are available with Dr Mike Kocan, formerly Consultant in Chronic Pain Medicine at Nevill Hall Hospital Abergavenny for ten years. Dr Kocan is a fully registered medical practitioner (MB BCh) and a practising specialist in Anaesthesia (FRCA). In addition he is a specialist in chronic pain medicine and possesses the diploma of Fellow in the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

He is no longer able to offer appointments in an NHS pain clinic but is available for private consultations and simple treatments. A referral letter from your General Practitioner is not essential but would be helpful. Treatments available include acupuncture, botulinum toxin injections and the issuing of private prescriptions where appropriate.

Appointments are currently available in Cardiff, Brecon, Abergavenny, and Weston. Other locations may follow subject to demand.

Cost of Consultation only is £120 for up to 30 min. Any prescription issued as part of a consultation will incur no charge. Repeat prescriptions £12.50. Charges for other treatments will be advised prior to treatment proceeding.

Credit cards accepted from April 2008.

In accordance with General Medical Council requirements your General Practitioner will be kept informed of your treatment unless you request otherwise.
